Open Question: What do you think of the ambassaduer bcx combo for a weekend fisher (not me)?

I had a request to find out for someone in my family. There the opposite of me pretty much. Theyve used baitcasters for like 16 years now or something then switched to spinning when they met us so im pretty sure they know what there doing even though that was 10 years ago. They work now and live in another state for police work and all that so only get like 1-2 hours on the weekend to fish. They as I said are the opposite and use all types of plastics and only sometimes crankbaits. When they get to fish they have a pond in there yard stocked with fish up to 30 lbs catfish and bass. Anyway would it be a good weekend fishermens rod? I dont know how much he takes care of his gear.

Open Question: How to catch stubborn trout?

I fish in new england and the streams are at their typical flows. There are some backwoods streams with trout that were stocked over a month ago, so they have had some time to "turn wild" and adjust their food source recognition. I always approach from downstream quiet and low very early in the morning. I use 4lb line on a spinning set up and have thrown the whole kitchen sink at them. Rooster tails, phoebe, powerbait, spoons, eggs, jigs, streamer flies etc. I have tried sinking, floating, weights, you name it. No bites. They either swim away or have no interest what so ever. Usually I can at least get fish interested. The area is very shady and the water is cold. Mostly rock ledge. How do i catch them? Anyone got any advice as to what to use? I don't have fly fishing gear or knowledge so that's not an option Thanks Sean, I'll try that. But it has been in the 80's and I don't think they are sluggish anymore. They take off like a son of a gun sometimes

Open Question: Should I be spending my time on "shark fishing?"?

Basically, I got addicted & obsessed with catching sharks. It started out by wishing to catch redfish, when one day my fiancee & I caught a couple small bonnetheads. Then when we got home, we realized they were "keepers" low and behold! Ever since then, I regretted releasing those two actual sharks back into the sea, when I could have caught them, cut them, and filleted them! My passion in life became "reclaiming" those two lost treasures, and I devoted my raison d'etre into recaputuring two sharks again to savor the privilege of catching a legal shark. That's when, my dream came true, but 2-foot bonnethead wasn't enough. For my birthday present, I squandered my $150 on a penn senator 9 0 reel, and bought a $200 for $50 on craigslist, put on my credit card. Needless to say, I also spent about $80 on wire leader, copper sleeves, crimps, swivels, 80# mono line, and a 16-oz sinker. The shark-obsession is becoming way more expensive, and once I catch a 6-foot bull shark--what's next? Will I want to pursue a 10-ft hammerhead? Will I want to prove myself by posting shark catches online? Will I become dependent on other people for their feedback about "look how big of a shark I caught?" Am I snowballing out of control? I could always catch 1 nice big shark (after all, i've already sunk enough money to catch at least 1 epic shark on my current setup) but I don't want to be like the guys I saw on the pier who invest in expensive reels (which always break--they are a revolving door into the tackle shop for endless repairs) and also when I ask them--they tell me that "it's never enough" and you never reach the pinnacle of shark fishing. You always keep endlessly pursuing a vague goal which always keeps rising higher and higher. So I'm thinking--should I pre-commit myself to catching 1 nice bull shark (greater than 6 feet) then switching back to catching redfish & trout? I don't want to get trapped into a merciless addiction, robbing my mind, wallet, and soul. If I should continue fishing sharks--how do I strike a balance? If you agree I should quit altogether, would you advise me to go for broke and try to catch 1 monster then call it quits? Obviously, I don't want to see myself unhappy in a hobby which has brought me endless laughter, happiness, and sense of achievement--but, I'm skeptical about where I might end up. I hope some experienced fisherman will weigh in and comment on my personality type and recommend a course of action which keeps me safely enjoying fishing for the rest of my life. I don't want to be a "burn out" who ends up selling all their fishing gear on craigslist after a 1-year fatuous pursuit of mindless recompense. I want action, thrills, and adventure in life--shark fishing seems quite tempting--but am I falling into a trap? Thanks for insightful feedback you can share with a struggling shark hobbyist...

Open Question: Are these manga still being translated?

Since a new chapter hasn't come out for a while i was just wondering. If you know the approximate release date of the next chapter then that would also do. 1. Gamble fish - been months since the last chapter came out. 2. Kuroko no Basket - from what i know more than 160 chapters are out but only around 140 have been translated. 3. Zetman - a seinen manga that just got turned into an anime. Last chapter came out in January, so its been quite a while. 4. Air gear - four or so chapters left for completion and all of a sudden the releases just stopped. Its been almost a month now. 5. Diamond no ace 6. Addicted to curry 7. Kurogane 8. Sket dance - more than 230 chapters out but only 190 translated and also at an irregular pace. 9. Area no kishi Another question is why are manga like sekirei and freezing translated so irregularly???

Open Question: Would you eat a donkey?

Extremely silly question yes I know. But last time I went camping me and my friends got drunk and hungry and there were some donkey where we were camping. We eventually left because we were just so extremely hungry. We are going again today but this time we are bringing fishing gear, but anyways anyways, would you eat a donkey? Oh boy, someone knows so much about Assyrians. You realize being Christians there is nothing against drinking right? your name is Rucking Fetard, don't you think you should not worry about my parents and worry about yours? Well my issues with it were, A. Can and does it fight back? Because we didn't have anything to humanely kill it with. And B. I have never skinned anything that large before

Resolved Question: Best rod/reel for all-around/trout fishing rod & reel setup (spinning)?

I'm looking for a new versatile rod/reel (SPINNING) setup for mostly small to large lakes and reservoirs, most of which have a variety of fish species including bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, trout, etc. (though i mostly seek trout and bass). The tackle i use primarily consist of in-line spinners and spoons. Almost all the time i use at least 1/4 oz lures with 6-10 lb test flourocarbon line depending on where im going. My buddy can get me cost on pretty much all of the major brands (quantum, shimano, st. crioux, abu garcia, okuma, etc.) and i would like to get a higher-end setup since i rarely change gear...i used the same rod/reel for 7 years and its finally getting a bit old for my taste. I already have a decent casting setup so im gonna take this opportunity to upgrade my spinning gear. I've had my eye on the Quatum Smoke line so if anyone has used that i'd love to hear your opinion. Your opinions will be appreciated BTW i live in the S.W. Idaho area
